A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
